Like the old axiom about the three most important rules about real estate ("Location, location, location!"), the Trenton Radio Project is busy with its most important work of all:
Advocacy, advocacy, advocacy! (You can read about the kind of advocacy we need here.)
Fact is, a community must understand what it would mean to regain its own broadcasting right. In the weeks to come, our first step will be to form a committee of interested individuals, and form a non-profit alliance. LPFM licenses are not given to individuals or companies, but to non-profit groups only.
And even if we have the group organized, we don't just call the FCC and ask for a license. They're not available at this present time. But if that situation were to change, the FCC would accept applications in Tennessee for only five days. That's it. And we'll only have thirty days advance warning. Which means we must get our ducks in a row today.
The days to come will require a lot of work, but it'll be worth it. Click on the Contact page to find out how you can become part of our campaign to bring LPFM to Trenton.
